Welcome to the Arkansas Schools for Advanced Studies!

Our tuition free, public charter school serving grades 5-12 has four pillars that support its academic mission. The first pillar is “The New American Conversation,” which encourages students and faculty to engage in communal textual analysis of works fundamental to the American experience.
The second pillar is “Our Global Intellectual Inheritance,” which provides a true liberal arts experience with deep study of seminal and foundational readings across all core academic disciplines. The third pillar is “Student Scholarship,” which models the high school program on bachelor’s degree programs and includes a Transformative Senior Experience. The fourth pillar is “Engaged and Authentic Student Culture,” which encourages students to express their unique identities, fosters school spirit of openness, self-expression, and self-discovery, and engages students in service projects. Additionally, the school emphasizes the importance of hiring intellectually voracious and omnivorous teachers who serve as models for students on how to be thoughtful, compassionate, active, and engaged citizens.
